In response to the intensified Sudan red food crisis, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (12th) that the Non-staple Food Supply Center and the General Welfare Service of the MND shall continue to monitor information announced by the Food and Drug Administration and local governments, and proactively investigate and stop the sale of Sudan red food products. It will also notify units that have already purchased such products to immediately discontinue use and return them. The MND will also take preventive measures to de-shelf related products of doubt and concern, and return them for examination to ensure the health of officers and soldiers as well as consumer rights of family members of the military (veteran).
